Dr. Kisan Maharaj Sakhare is a renowned teacher of the Vedas. For over 50 years, his articles on the Upanishads have been regularly published in magazines and newspapers. He is the founder of Sri Dnyaneshwar Vidyalaya, which is affiliated with Pune University, and currently serves as its Chairman.

Sri Sakhare Maharaj conducts kirtans on a regular basis at various locations, and these are also available on social media platforms.

He has edited more than 100 books on a wide range of subjects, including Dnyaneshwari, Vedanta, Soham Yoga, and more. He has also served as a member of the Maharashtra Literature and Culture Board and is a trustee of several institutions.

His commentary on Dnyaneshwari, known as Granthraj, is available in Marathi, Hindi, and English in an audio-visual format. He has been awarded the D.Litt. degree by Tilak University for his contribution to Saint Literature and has also served as an examiner for the D.Litt. examination.

Dr. Sakhare received the prestigious “Gyanoba Tukaram Award” for the year 2018 from the State Government in recognition of his contributions to Saint Literature and humanitarian work.
